Pet outings 🐾Lake District

🐾 Lake Windermere:  Lake Windermere            offers lake cruises. I will cover these in        my next post. 🐾 Aira Force :   This is a gorgeous waterfall      within in Lake District. It is a dramatic          65-foot waterfall and woodland trails. It      is a loop path so unless you have the          same braincells as me there is little              chance of getting lost. Dogs in Hot Cars Die

I don't care what Your mother, father,aunt, uncle, cousin, best friend or anyone else that has "given" you advise. DOGS DIE IN HOT CARS!!!!.   Even if have supplied food xxxxand water, they can not cope with the heat.  They will over heat regardless if there is food, water and  a fan. If the car is parked at a public place, see if you can find someone to stay with the dog while you look for someone to make an announcement on the tannoy. Keep pets cool.

    As the weather gets warmer you will need to keep them cool as much and as often as you can.      There is a number of ways to keep them cool by placing a paddling pool in a shaded area so that they can come and go as they wish. Leaving a fan on at their level so they can sit or lie down Infront of it and keep cool. Pet cool mats, collars and jackets are readily available and range from £5 to £20. Fresh cool water is a must as it keeps them hydrated and regulates their body temperature. SIGNS OF HEAT STROKE:-  heavy breathing/ panting. Confused. Sickness. Diarrhea. Shaking/weakness. Loss of co-ordination. Seizures. Drooling. Foaming at the mouth.
